Hooray for taste buds!

I'm thankful that somewhere along the way, our ancestors discovered that food could be more than just bland nourishment...it could have heart and soul and even a sense of humor...works of art for just a moment in time. Not for posterity or history -- but for the now. The only art that involves all the senses: the sound of the sizzle, the feel of the creamy smooth mousse in your mouth, the savory smell wafting up from the plate, they beauty of all the colors of nature splashed across a plate...and of course, the taste, the glorious taste.
