  1. Holy deer, batman! That is AMAZING! I have seen a couple of deer in our neighborhood once or twice. Nothing like that though. I have also seen a coyote but I was out walking in the dark and it was more scary than awe inspiring.

  2. Saw one on side of road yesterday's sunrise... coyotes howled all wknd long (practicing for Wed's full moon?)... two barn owls whooo live in backyard's trees seemed to be warming up for springtime rituals / nuptials all wknd too... Raccoons taking advantage of forgetting to not leave trash outside...

Ahhh, just another January's Santa Ana wind-wknd in Topanga Canyon: a world away from L.A. -- in L.A.

  4. I once saw a Coyote in a Ralph's parking lot in Los Feliz...strange and beautiful. Topanga Canyon is a wonderful-weird oasis in the desert sands of LA...Shakespeare in the woods and vintage shops to get lost in...you are lucky to get to be there:)

  7. Yes! The Theatricum Botanicum -- I saw A Midsummer Night's Dream there and it was such a magical experience with wind chimes in the trees like surround sound. I highly recommend it!

  8. Yet another appreciation of lemons...

Will Geer fled to Topanga when he was black-listed from H'wood during the McCarthy era –– being gay was enough to getcha deemed a communist.

For all that, The Old Globe now has a wind chimed surround-sound and a coyote chorus!
