Giggles and pastries

I'm thankful for uncontrollable giggle fits that only my sister can send me into, the kind that makes everyone around us stop and stare wondering what in the world could be so gosh darn funny. And the great thing is, we could never explain it -- even if we tried, because the truth is, it's everything and nothing all at once!
I'm also grateful that today we discovered the world's greatest little pastry/cookie today called a Sarah Bernhardt -- a macaroon topped with rich chocolate mousse and then dipped in milk chocolate??? YES, PLEASE. I have officially fallen off the no sugar wagon -- I fell off it, rolled down a powdered sugar hill, skidded into a rice crispy thicket, swished across a caramel river and flew face first into a chocolate lake. Don't even bother to throw me a life saver:)

  1. Well, if you're gonna fall off da wagon, what a delish way to slide in for a landing!

There's a wonderful, little seen movie, Dead Again, that features a tiny Robin Williams scene (he's not even in credits) where his character sez: "Decide what you are and be it."

In other words: If the shoe fits, wear it and wear it goooood! :)

  2. That's funny. I made the most decadent chocolate cupcakes tonight for Eli's b-day. I meant to take one bite and ended up eating the whole thing. I'm allergic to eggs. There was a heck of a lot of eggs in those cupcakes & I now have the worst tummy ache ever. It was almost worth it...almost. Stop eating the sugar, Kewa!

  3. Wita, yep, I must stop -- 2 sugar induced adrenaline attacks in 2 days, not fun, not fun at all. But darn was it good while it lasted. Hope Eli had a great birthday!!
Did I mention the wicked red velvet cake truffles they sell at the general store down the street? They should be illegal.

VL, I love that quote! I've never seen the movie, but will check it out...
